This bro’d out purple Wrangler (with squinty angry grille and LED h alo lights I unfortunately didn’t c apture in this picture) crossed my path last night. There are HIGHWAY STAR decals on the hood.

I don’t think these decals are completely accurate, because when I think of what cars are stars  on the highway, I picture a smooth, comfortable and powerful luxury sedan. But this particular Wrangler is probably spending much more of its time on highways than rock crawling, so there's that.

Yeah, the bro mall rated trend is so big I’m not sure I could own one. Its very similar to the people who customize AR rifles, also never in the military. I’ll probably get a D elica eventually. I can’t wait to have one pull up next to my 1952 M37 at a light.

My wife is from Japan and I know people there. I could probably get one there and ship it through a service. But my CRV is going to last a while and I just need a reliable DD for work. I have three old cars t hat matter more to me. But I'd like a diesel 4x4 Delica. By the time I buy one I the next generation of those might be importable.

Are those kei cars though? Might be illegal, or maybe 25yr rule fixes that? Might just be small but not kei small. I think I would get a Delica size.

The Sumo is the non-kei version of the Sambar. Bit larger engine.
